Did we pick something for Tuesdays?

My day is good so far, the morning is going by pretty quickly. It helps that around my office we do "Latte Tuesday," where the bosses buy a coffee for the staff - nothing like a free soy caramel latte to get the day going!

I don't think Tuesday was ever confirmed, or maybe TK ate it.

Were we going to do an AW day (or call it something else)? Because I have one... FI and I got our marriage license today! yay!

I think we were going to do a Question of the Day type thing, but we didn't pick anything for Tuesdays.

Yay! Marriage licenses make things so real.

I know that there was a QOTD and a AW (but with a new name) day on the list, but I came in late, just before TK got hungry.

My Tuesday has been lovely and lazy, since I'm off work 'til Thursday. I slept late (for me) -- enjoying sleep while I can! -- did a little cleaning and am currently putzing over a cup of coffee before I tackle my next project.

YAY! Congratulations! How exciting!

The company that owns the title on our house is making things incredibly difficult for us. We're ready for this to all be over so we can move into our home!

My very troublesome student has just gotten worse and worse as the year goes on, with no real consequences for his bad behavior. His attitude today was just terrible, so I had to pull him into another classroom and basically give him an ultimatum. Afterward, he called me stupid in front of the class. Part of his behavior is due to his being completely oblivious to social norms, but a lot of it is just because he's acted out for so long without being made to accept the consequences for his actions. So now when he's disciplined, he responds completely inappropriately to try to worm his way out. I don't know when we're going to stop babying him and expect him to act like a high school student.

ETA: Let's make Tuesday "I Want to Know..." Day. That way we can do sort of open-ended questions, or ask anything about scripture or tradition or whatever! That might also really encourage some lurkers to come out!

Also Caiti, I bet that is exciting. Your wedding is getting so close!

We have started to get some RSVP cards back each day, and only 1 no so far. They are being sent to my parents house (since they are hosting), but I have shared google document system going with my mom so I can see food choices for the escort cards that I am making. It has been so fun to check it each day and see everyone who will be there to celebrate. I am feeling pretty blessed that the vast majority of my family is able to travel to be there and celebrate with us (FI's family is local).

Yay for babies too! Seems like last year, everyone was having girls, and this year it's boys (my sister is having a boy too!). Any names picked out yet?

Yay! I swear, I'm the only person I know who is having a girl. Or at least it just seems that way. I think I've mentioned before, I'm in the middle of a major baby boom in my extended circle. I have 3 very good friends who are pregnant (one due within days of me), and I don't know how many casual friends and acquaintances.

Prof., I so hear you on the troublesome students. I have had my share of them. This year, there was one who had a 504 for anger management issues who went downhill all spring semester. By Friday, I was ready to throttle him.

I think Tuesday questions would be good. Hopefully, once we get things rolling, we can get lurkers out of the woodwork.

So yay I just got good news. For all of you who read about my frustrations with our music director, FI finally was able to get a hold of her today. She is going to cantor for our wedding for a price that's in our budget. We still have to work out the details with her, but we have an organist and a cantor! Yay!

I forgot to thank all of you for telling me that it would work out and your advice, and especially Carrie for offering to give suggestion of people in St. Louis.
