Real AND Fake???

Im on a tight budget and DIYing pretty much everything, I want REAL orchids and calla-lillies for the wedding party and parents. But would it be weird or look funny if we did the table centerpices with fake flowers in the same color patterns, possibly different flowers?

You can buy an orchid plant in a pot for like $13-20 bucks at a grocery store (Trader Joes always has them) Have you considered potted plants or succulents?

my friend has a bouquet of calla lillies and she had half real and half fake and you could not tell any difference in the bouquet so i think you should be ok, to mix fake and real.

I like the idea of the potted orchids fr centerpieces.  I think they are gorgeous plants and would be a nice change to the typical wedding centerpieces...you can always spruce them up with a bow wrapped around the pot and then place them on top of a round mirror and scatter votives and petals around the table.  Then the guests can fight over who can take them home :)

  • Go with a potted phaeleonopsis. GORGEOUS!  and if you're worried about "what to do with them afterwards" donate them to a nursing home, give them to bridesmaids, or something like that.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
