Soo impressed. Despite one little glitch

Just got a call that my boudoir pics are already ready for pick up!  I just took them last Friday!  I really can't say enough how wonderful Glamour Shots was if you are looking for a place to do yours and there is one in your area.

Only problem I've had so far (not minor but I think I'll be able to fix it) is the dvd slideshow they gave me isn't Mac friendly and we only have Macs.  I have a email in to their customer service as well as some Mac forums.  Also looking into a program that can read things like this on a Mac.  May also try to sneak on to mom and dad's PC to see if I can burn to a new disk as a different file type.  When I go pick up my pics tomorrow I'm going to see if they have any tips or know who can help me.

No time to pick them up tonight but definitely will be doing that tomorrow after work!!!!!!

  • I'm surprised they'd even give anything that wasn't MAC compatible; especially image files! That's a pretty big glitch :P
What a super turn around time tho! That rocks!!

  • Yeah the email I wrote to customer service was a little b*tchy for the same reason.  I believe I said something like "I can't believe with what you charge you would have a product that isn't universally compatible especially when Macs are so prevalent..."  I really enjoyed the people at the store who I worked with and didn't want to be nasty to them but I am irritated by it.  Just trying to be level-headed though to try to find a way around it.
  • Ok I gotta ask... what did you do for a boudoir session? There is a place near me that does them and was at a bridal show and I saw some of their examples. There is no way in hell I would be comfortable with pics of myself in lingerie. I am the least photogenic person on the face of the earth though so maybe thats why.
  • I did wear several pieces of lingerie.  Some more revealing than others.  A few ladies have asked me about them so once I get them I was going to pick a few I was comfortable sharing and send the link (don't want it for all of TK to see or to shove that in people's faces if it makes them uncomfortable) privately to anyone who was curious.  I'll post a new thread once I have that all set up!

For the record though I pretty critical of photos of myself.  I'm fairly confident but something about photos that just freeze the imperfections I am uncomfortable with that drives me crazy.  However, with professional hair and makeup and the beauty of airbrushed photography and a photographer who tells you exactly what to do, I had about 50 photos that I would have walked out with happily could I have afforded it.  A professional photographer knows the best light to put you in and can tell you from an outside perspective to move your head a quarter-inch this way or smile just a little less to bring out the best in you.  I suggest going and having the shoot. If you hate the pictures you just dont buy any and got to dress up for the day!  And, if it's for your FI he obviously finds you beautiful so I doubt he's thinking about the same things you are.
  • So exciting that your pics are back! I just got my boudoir proofs today, woohoo!
    Anniversary
