Sounds like a good plan! Will take up your time AND help save money!
  • I know how you feel! I was so busy doing all these projects, now I struggle on what to do with myself on my days off now. Especially when I am home alone. Last weekend we painted the house. The exterior. We have a ton more projects to do in the house that we'll probably start in July. Next weekend we head on our honeymoon. I enjoyed all the planning and the projects, and they were all worth it. But there's definitly the "what now?" phase.
  • I feel the same way! I am like so bored now and have no idea what to do with myself. I have been working on unpacking and cleaning the house a little bit trying to get organized but I need a new project. Hopefully I can talk DH into working on a baby lol. We will see.
  • I'm so bored! The plan was for me to get a full time job after the wedding, but now H is saying he wants to look for a new job- Most of them out of state. So I don't really want to try and find something that I would only be at for a few months and then have to quit.

The only things on my agenda are unpacking all the wedding stuff in the shed, and getting the house back in order- Neither of which are appealing at ALL :/

  • I am not bored (My life was crazy before the wedding)! But I am going through major withdrawal so I hear ya.

Although my wedding was wonderful and so much fun..there are a few things I regret that only I notice.

    Anybody with me on this...?

  • I just got back from the honeymoon a couple of days ago so I haven't had a chance to be bored yet, but I will admit that I already miss wedding planning a little bit. Reading everyone's posts here has been a fun way to help with that though.

We bought a house this past winter and haven't done anything with it yet because of the wedding, so my new to-do list is all about that. Besides painting and landscaping, I still have a lot to unpack and organize. You'll be busy very soon!

  • Maybe I'm one of the few who is glad that it's over!  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed wedding planning, but by the end I was definitely burned out and ready for it to be done with.

I have a pretty demanding career, so between furthering that and finally having time/money to decorate our house, buy new furniture, work on our yard, etc. I wouldn't say I'm bored.

I'd start planning for your house to take up the time you used to spend wedding planning.  I do research on various thing (landscaping, decorating, etc.) and then make Pinterest boards.  I don't want to just do those things haphazardly on a whim, and things like landscaping require some sort of education on the subject to do it well.  Not to mention you have to plan a room as whole as far as what you want the overall look to be.  Like this week I was researching different plants/shrubs/trees that do well in my ecological zone, whether they like sun/shade, how big they eventually get, etc.  The people who landscaped our house after they built it obviously didn't think about it because we have a ton of plants that are wayyyyy too big now for the places they are at.

  • I'm certainly not bored, but I miss looking at wedding blogs and researching DIY projects for the wedding. I have no idea what to do with my lunch hour now. Ha! And I honestly loved planning such a great event ... I want to do it all over again!
