Who all is doing one ? I have not decided if we should or not because we are having one at our AHR with CR postcards. And all the people at the wedding will be at the AHR. What do you guys think ?
I saw something cute online, not a traditional guest book... The couple had a book and on the front cover it said "always remember to...", everyone would sign but leave advice for the couple as well. A different picture had "Ideas for date night...", I thought these were cute ideas for a different take on the guest book! HTH
I saw a wine bottle guest book and the guest signed with paint markers and I loved it. So we incorporated into our Mexican wedding by buying a really nice bottle of tequila (its was called Mi Amor, means my love) in playa Del Carmen and we had people sign it. It worked well, we only had 18 guests and it worked perfectly!! We had a sign beside it in a picture frame that said "Aww, you came!! Now take a shot and sign the bottle so we'll have proof!" we had another bottle of tequila for the shots beside it! I don't think I have any photos of the "guest book" from our guests but once my pro pics are up I'll post!
I know this one is very common and not original, but I think that in Key West we will do the picture frame/matting that everyone signs. That way we can put one of our favorite wedding pictures from KW in it! Not sur if/what we will do for AHR? Maybe Key West postcards?
We like the finger/thumb print trees on etsy. We'll bring the paper itself and roll it into a photo tube for transport back and forth. Them we'll frame it later when we get home.
We didn't do one at our wedding but just did at our AHR. (I'll post pics as soon as I get some.) We took a picture from our wedding and had it blown up. It was us to the side on the beach. We got two different shell stamps and had people stamp then sign the beach area on the picture. It looks really good, except his witch of an aunt thought she belonged in the sky and stamped at the top of the picture. Urgh!
I was going to do a fullblown one with the photobooth, but then we cancelled the photobooth. Now I'm considering doing a large canvas with our monogram in the middle and have everyone sign around it, then we can hang it in the house with wedding picture around it. I think it would make a beautiful display.
Re: Guest book
We are doing a puzzle guestbook for the wedding, but we are not having an AHR.
