We got orders!!!

We're going to New River, NC. It was our last pick, but Hubs and I are both pretty stoked!!! It's only like 3 hours from my parents, and H wants to look at apartments on/near the beach. He doesn't want to deal with base housing. The housing in Cherry Point is amazing (that was my first choice), but I can't even find a link for the housing at New River. It's a helicopter base with Ospreys and that totally jazzes me!!! Yayyyyy!!!!!! I'm so excited to finally know where we're going!!!

    oh oh exciting!!! Yay!  I'm hoping to be heading east when we get out orders too, but we won't know that for a while.

    UGH I'm envious! An apartment on/walking distance to the beach is my heaven! Do iiiiit. I don't blame him for not wanting base housing. FI is the exact same. There's a slim chance we end up at NPS (Naval Post grad School in California) and I told him that if we end up there, we should stay in the housing since it's so expensive, and the place is REALLY nice. "No" "Nope" "Not a chance" was all I heard back. haha.. aaaallright then.

    That's awesome that it's so close to your family, too! That way when he comes and goes, you always have a place to go mope :) hehehehe

    Yay! How exciting! I am house hunting right now too, and have been finding houses by the beach. It's always so fun living close to beaches!

    Yay! That's so exciting for you! My FI is stationed at Cherry Point, that whole area is so nice! I think you should definitely look for a place on the beach. The beaches out there are gorgeous!

    It's always exciting getting orders, even if it's not what you picked.  I fully admit that I cried when we got orders to Washington because this was my last choice, but I love it here now and am willing to come back after our next station.

    New River was our last choice too Beachy!! But I was just excited about it being in NC. I've heard bad things about Jacksonville, but whatever!! I'm way more excited just to be able to be with H! I feel like FINALLY there's an end in sight!!

    I'm pretty much dreading where we COULD end up next.. especially if Fi wants to transition.. I will be miserable.. and complain to you so that he doesn't have to hear it :P haha! kiddiiiiiing
