looking for a barn to marry in.

my dream wedding would be an outdoor ceremony in the open woods and a reception in a barn.. i would be okay with a ceremony in a field or something along those lines as long as the barnn is on the same property.
my problem is that I CANNOT FIND SUCH A PLACE! i would rather rent someones property than a venue because i'm very untraditional and don't like any of the venues around cincinnati.
i'm open to suggestions within the tri-state!
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Try Mulhauser Barn in West Chester if you have not looked at it yet.  Or Wahill Farm in Batesville, Indiana.  I don't think either have AC or heat though so it would probably need to be spring or fall.  There is also a barn in Trenton but I cannot remember the name of it.

Have you tried the Hayloft Barn at winton woods?  The pictures look pretty but it might be a little more traditional than you are looking for.

Polen Farm in Kettering is beautiful! I was in a wedding there and it was just fabulous. Its a little small though. I believe the barn only holds 100 - 150??

[QUOTE]I havent gotton any answers but we did go out to see it. The pictures on the website dont help much. One thing I did to help me decide was to google weddings at Niederman Barn in google images. Its a very nice rustic barn, and has great outside photo oppertunituies and good spots for outdoor ceremony. It comes with I think 12 round tables, 17 rectangle tables and 180 chairs. Tables and chair are not aloud to be taken outside on grassy area so we are looking into renting some for the ceremony- Im hoping to get the nice garden/wood/white chairs but the cheapest I could find was $2.50 each which would add up to a lot for 150 chairs. We are considering doing a standup ceremony and just renting a few for the older and pregnant guests. This place is pretty much a do it your self wedding. You set everything up and put everything up. You provide table clothes, you can bring own caterer or have family members bring some (were hoping to find a friend of a friend that will do very cheap caterering). Bob the guy that runs it is very nice. Its $750 for whole day- extra $250 if you want to decorate the night before. Its only a $50 deposit too so if you book then change your mind its not a big loss. When are you getting married? Ours is set for September 15 2012! If you have any other questions or any advise you could offer me you can always private message me and I'l give you me email.

I would not suggest Polen Farms if you are inviting more than 150 people. I looked at it about a month ago and received very poor customer service from the sales manager, Beth. While I was touring the barn I tried to ask a question and she held her hand in my face and told me to wait, she'd get to my question later. This happened twice. Also, when I asked her about local vendors she said she didn't know of any and couldn't really help with that. This was after she told me how many great bands and dj's they've had there....

don't know if you found a place yet but we just booked the Hughes Barn in Hamilton. I liked it a lot better than Niederman (that we had previously booked) it has a great caterer's kitchen and a beautiful outside. Only $850 to rent. When are you getting married? Would love to hear your ideas as well, sounds like we are trying to plan the same untraditional wedding. BTW sadly they only have 90 chairs so you'd have to rent addt'l chairs if you want more.

    good luck!
