Photographer Review- Desmond Charles Photography
I normally post on the Vegas board as I'm having a DW there, but I just wanted to post this review because I thought it might help some of my Bay Area brides. 
I found Desmond through a http://WeddingChannel.com Groupon-type of deal and used him for my engagement pictures a couple of months ago; Fiance and I had such a wonderful experience with him that I felt compelled to review him here so other brides (and grooms) would know that he's the best!
After a phone consultation a couple of days before our shoot to discuss location ideas and angle concerns (Fiance insists that his profile is better than his left...don't ask me why), Desmond met up with us in Yerba Buena Gardens for our engagement session. It was a pretty chilly evening and he stayed with us for about 3 HOURS (for an engagement session!), trying out all different kinds of scenery and poses. I felt guilty that we were taking up too much of his time, but he didn't rush us at all and took his time finding the best light and locations to shoot us; he didn't stop shooting until he knew he had enough diversity of shots to return to us for review.
Additionally, Fiance and I are a bit (read: a lot) awkward, so we were anticipating feeling--and looking--like idiots posing for pictures like this. Desmond made us feel completely at ease, though, and by the end of the shoot we were vogue-ing with the best of 'em. I'm pretty sure Fiance snuck Blue Steel in there somewhere as well.
The only thing I'm sorry about is that I already booked my wedding photographer before shooting with Desmond--we would have loved to use him for our wedding too!
