My groom picking his Best Man

My future husband is a wonderful man. While he has his faults and behaviors that drive me slightly insane, I love him like crazy.

Our wedding date is July 31st and he still hasn't picked his best man. We are having a small wedding party (MoH, BM, FG, RB) so at first I thought he was having trouble picking just one guy to stand with him. This isn't the case, he has a couple guys in mind, he's just waiting.

How late is too late to ask someone to be your best man?

I think after the wedding it's too late.

Honestly, I'd say two months in advance is about the latest I'd go.

If he wants the best man to rent a tux, he'll need at least two weeks to place the order, if money is tight right now for the best man, he might want to give more of a heads up so he has time to get the money together, but I wouldn't worry about it. There's still plenty of time.
