Grooms guide to getting married

Hey Grand Rapids,

My fiance doesn't know a single thing about planning a wedding. Does anybody know of any resources (weddings for dummies perhaps?) that I can share with him so I don't come off bossy constantly telling him what he has to do? This will relieve lots of tension (we just had the "are your parents planning to contribute at all?" talk lastnight...oh boy)

Thanks!

I got my fiance this book... The Engaged Groom: You're Getting Married. Read this Book.by Doug Gordon. He thought it was pretty good. Good luck!

I got my man this book: The Everything Groom's Book. It's made by the same company that did the Everything Wedding Book and all those. He personally really likes it.
Here's the link to it at Barnes N Noble!

But personally helped us the most was me just asking him what he wanted an opinion on. Cause there are some things that he really wanted to leave in my hands.

I hope those two things help your planning go a lot smoother!

This is exactly what I did. I told H from the beginning - I wanted his opinion on everything that he had an opinion about. But I also didn't want to bore him with details that he didn't care about. Whenever I went to work on something, I would tell him what I was working on and ask if he had an opinion. If he did, I listened. If he didn't, I made the call myself. It worked great, and he was happy that he got his say in everything that mattered to him.
