I had my first alterations appointment yesterday, and I couldn't be happier! I know it's early for fittings, so the only thing I arranged at this time was the bustle. I am very happy to get that BIG dress out of my tiny NYC apartment!
But then I put the dress on again. I remembered it being pretty, but oh my! It was magic! I forgot that there was a point to this appointment, other that for me to put my dress on again. The alterations lady gently pulled me back down to earth, and showed me my bustle options. The first was a regular one, pulling up the bottom in a big bump. Then she did the second option, the French bustle. I love this one so much, since she matched it up with the folds that already exist on the dress perfectly. Look how great it is:
I am just so excited by and about all the things that are happening, the wedding is really coming! And it's all going to be so great!
