Newly Engaged- looking for vendor suggestions for Newport Wedding

Hi - My fiance and I recently got engaged.  We are getting married in May at Castle Hill in Newport.  We are both from out of town so we would love some suggestions on recommended vendors:

Can you provide some suggestions:

Band: 
Photographer
Officiant
Flowers
Hotel Blocks
Rehearsal dinner (we would like to do a clambake)

    Congratulations-this is such an exciting time!  I got married last August, almost a year ago, on the North Lawn at Fort Adams where the Folk and Jazz Festival is.  I have to say it was amazing and would like to share my vendors with you for I still have guest talking about our day.

    Band: Cover to Cover-amazing and extremely accomodating...had the dance floor packed from beginning to end.
    Photographer: Kate Lucy-she was awesome, easy going and I loved every picture she took.
    Officiant: We got married at St Lucy's - don't know if that is an option for you.
    Flowers-Toni Chandler-fabulous flowers and she works within your budget.
    Hotel Blocks: Royal Plaza, Courtyard Marriot in Middletown and Howard Johnsons, very inexpensive.
    Rehearsal dinner (we would like to do a clambake)-we had ours at Brick Alley Pub on the 2nd floor. For a clambake you may want to check out McGraths Clambake.

    Good luck and I am sure there will be more suggestions, it is so fun to plan a wedding!

    Congrats and welcome to the board! I also got married in Newport - May 29th to be exact. The weather was beautiful! My guests loved Newport so I have no doubt you will have an amazing wedding with the right vendors. I recently reviewed my vendors in a separate post but I'd like to recommend some other vendors that receive rave reviews on here too.

    Band: GQ & the lady, World Premier Band ( I have seen both performed at friends' wedding)
    Photographer: Visual-Obsession Modern Photography (Konrad and Piotr were my photographers) A talented duo with an incredible eye. I also love Lisa Rigby's work too. She is more of a photojournalist photographer.
    Flowers: Another vote for Toni Chandler. I also love Pam from Blooming Blossom and the ladies at Floral by Alisa for being very budget friendly (they book quickly!) I used Whole Foods and was more than happy with what I received. 
    Hotel Block: The Marriot & Courtyard Marriot. I received really good rates at Courtyard and the rooms were immaculate. The Marriot Newport was very accommodating with last minute requests and the rooms were very nice but rates of course were on the high side.
    Rehearsal Dinner: I had a private cook come to our house but I recently attended a RD at Atlantic Beach Club - my favorite place! The food was delicious and the staff was great. I also like Salvation Cafe too - very reasonably priced for Newport. 

    I know you didn't mention Beauty or Day of Coordinator but definitely take a look at Sara Faella & her glam squad. I also highly recommend Gracie Lou Events for a DOC. These ladies made sure my wedding was picture perfect. My husband and I felt like it was our best investment as they provided us complete peace of mind.

    Congrats on the new engagement!

    Band: Felix Brown was awesome! I've never seen almost every guest on the dance floor at a wedding! They play at Newport Blues all the time
    Photographer: Manny Correira at a Bride's Day
    Officiant - we had our priest from Bristol
    Flowers - Joy from Flower Thyme - she is in Wakefield (20 min from Newport) but she does an amazing job
    Hotel Blocks
    Rehearsal dinner- I think Atlantic Beach club does clam bakes. Never eaten there but it's a beautiful beach setting But Brick Alley Pub is also a good choice

    My wedding is in a few months, but here is who I have selected for vendors, and I'm happy with all of them so far :)

    Band: Sugar (out of CT)
    Photography: Armor & Martel
    Flowers: Golden Gate Studios
    Rehearsal dinner: Red Parrot
    Hotel blocks: Viking, Hampton Inn (Middletown)

    Timmy Maia Band is incredible
    Vanderbilt Inn in Newport is newly remodeled.

    Frey's Florist (Fall River MA) Terri does amazing work, she also has the best props!

    Also, Flo's Clams in Newport probably offers clambakes to go.
