  I would look into the cost.  From what I know of personalized M&M's, they aren't cheap, so I would probably do 1 per couple.  

  
  

  I think the bottles are cute, but they are most likely something that will be thrown out after the wedding.  So if they are going to be expensive you might want to look into a few other options as well.  But if you like the price I think they are adorable.

  Personalized m&ms aren't cheap, but I think candy is one of those favors that needs to be per person. Get some personalized ones and mix them with plain ones (you can still get them in a bunch of colors, it's just a lot cheaper to not have them personalized).

  I did personalized M&Ms and they came prepackaged (through the M&M company because I was lazy) in about a 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" tin and they were not cheap.  I would look for smaller containers or think about mixing in unpersonalized M&Ms with the personalized ones if you're doing containers that big.  Also, one per couple is fine with that size.

  I wouldn't want to have to share my candy.  I'd find a way to make it more cost-effective so you can do 1 per person, whether that's mixing personalized and non-personalized M&Ms or foregoing the personalization all together.
