Restaurant Reception Maui

Hi Ladies, do any of you have experience or opinions on any of these 3 places; Leilani's, Hula Grill or Castaway Cafe?

We've booked our ceremony at the Hyatt but decided their food and drink minumums for the reception were just too high for our budget.  So now we're looking at lots of different, budget-friendly,  reception options.  One them being a restaurant.  We're estimating for 60 guests and hoping we can still do some dancing at the venue.  Although this is looking more and more unlikely without doing a buy-out.

Anyhoo, any advice would be appreciated:)

Sorry, I haven't been to these places.  But, I am planning on going to Hula Grill on our planning trip in Jan. I can let you know about that place after I get back.

I've only tried he Hula Grill in Waikiki and the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was kind of an upscale (not too upscale, though) Hawaiian.

Have you tried conacting the restaurants? With that size of a group you'll have to have a set menu and just contacting the coordinator is helpful to get an idea of who you may jive with. Sometimes that can be the deciding factor. I know I bypassed some restaurants, simply because they weren't very responsive even though they were more affordable. Good luck!

I actually got engaged at Hula grill! It is absolutely beautiful, and there is even an area where you can put your feet in the sand (barefoot bar). The food is amazing also, although i'm not sure how reasonable the prices would be, or if there would be room to dance :(

We had our rehearsal dinner at Leilani's! The top deck has gorgeous views. I highly recommend this place...great service, great location, good prices and the food was amazing!!! Liked it better than Hula Grill. Hope that helps!
