Ours were outside, end of February, in Wisconsin....is was only 15-20F....

We wore jeans and wool coats.  We ducked inside for e few pics and ditched the coats - he had on a dress shirt and I had on a turtleneck and sweater.  We did not change.

If you are normally more dressy, dress up.  If you guys are more casual, go casual.

  • Ours were in a small city park next to a river.  It was on March 17th, it was probably in the 40/50s.  I wore a teal short sleave blouse and gray cable knit cardigan with black dress pants and heals.  FI wore khaki dress pants and a purple shirt and tie.

We did change into our college gear for a couple pictures because we both went to the same college.  I have never really done a photo shoot like that before so I took advantage of it.

Basically just have fun with your photographer.  I didn't buy any new clothes specifically for the pictures.  I kinda kept track of what I thought I looked good in in the month preceding and made sure it was clean for picture day :)

  • We took ours in the city....which was a little crazy because there were alot of people around.   I wore a cute white dress with a red sweater.  He wore jeans and a red shirt.  We wanted to be ourselves, so we dressed in what our friends and families would normally see us in.  Be yourselves and have fun!!!!!
  • We dressed up for some of ours, because I wanted to..he didn't care. But we had so much fun..it was cold though so we froze our asses off.
I will try and post some pictures.

  • we got ours taken on easter. it was super windy but a beautiful day none the less

I wore jeans and boots, and a zip up, we had ours taken on my FI's ranch so they were very rustic and country.

didnt cange clothes because we both wore clothes that went with any setting

wear good under garmets and make sure that your jacket/ shirt is long enough to cover your butt
  • We did two e-pic sessions b/c we were trying out two different photographers.  One set we did down at our alma mater, which was fun to get some of the iconic buildings in them.  I wore jeans and a dressy purple top with short sleeves; H wore jeans and a polo.  We then also took a few baseball themed ones in our White sox jerseys b/c his proposal was baseball related.  The other set we did closer to home at a park.  I wore jeans and a gray sweater, H wore jeans and a button down (it was getting a little cooler at that point).

My recommendations would be to wear something  you're comfortable in, wear something you feel attractive in.  Go for solid/bright colors (anything that's really patterned and busy can detract from the photos).  Wear something you can move around in - we got down on the ground for quite a few photos, climbed up on a rock retaining wall, etc. and don't worry too much about it b/c you want them to look like you :-)
  • Did you take yours yet?  Yes!
What did you wear? I had a dress, and then blue jeans
Did you change? yes a few times
Any suggestions?  relax! have fun with it and enjoy your FI, also listen to your photographer they will tell you things to do.

  • we took ares in a state park with an old castle.  i wore jeans and black high heeled books with a pink sweater and a white coat.  my FI wore jeans iwth black loafers and a grey sweater with his black coat.  it was freezing so we kept out coats on but for a few pictures we unbuttoned them.  good luck with your e-pics!

  • We did ours in mid-February in Chicago.  Temp was mid 40s.  We did 3 outfit changes and 3 locations-- our photographer was amazing!

Location 1: Wrigley Field - casual Cubs attire
Location 2: Downtown Chicago - Wool coats, jeans, dressy shoes
Location 3: Patio - dressy blazer and jeans for him, dressy and heels for me

  • I did jeans and a trench coat from Kohls for one picture, a cardigan and jeans for another, a button-up with a different pair of jeans, and then a dress. I hated all the pictures with the dresses, but here are a few showing the jean outfits!

  • awww everyones pics are soooo cute!!! I love looking at them! I went for dressy look, looking back on it I wish I did jeans lol we had a hard time thinking of things to do we did want to have all our pics just be of us kissing or holding hands (dont get me wrong we did do all that lol) so we were just ourselves....funny goofy and playful.
