Help! Looking for locations

My fiance and I are looking for a somewhat different and unique ceremony/reception site in the western chicagoland area.  We are also attempting to do it on the smallest possible budget as we are paying for everything ourselves.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  I'm starting to really stress out about it but we aren't planning on getting married til Oct 1, 2011.  I could use all the help I can get!

    Parks tend to be cheaper as they have low rental fees. And there are some beautiful forest preserves out in the western suburbs.

    How do you feel about golf courses?  We had our reception at Klein Creek in Winfield and they did a great job.  Ours was in the clubhouse because we only had 50 guests but they also have a huge room for bigger receptions.  We were there a fews years ago for a Fireman's Ball and it was held in the other room.  It was very nice.
