Know anything about Renton??

Anyone know any good locations to take pictures in Renton? When driving around I found this stonehenge like place that is pretty in person but not so much online.. anyone know of any bridges or any cute place to do a first look?? Or fun/urban places? Any water or fountains?

Anyone know any good restaurants that could accommodate 30 or so people for an RD? We had a place planned but I'm second guessing it...

TIA!

For an urban sort of feel, the Piazza in downtown Renton - basically over in the bus transit area and where the Spirit of Washington Event Center is.

I live in Renton and love Gene Coulon Park. There is also a walk along the Cedar River that is really pretty. It's paved and there are trees/ivy along the way. Actually saw a wedding set up there once. There are bridges across the water that you could take pics on. You can park near the library and head down the nearby path.

Armandos has private spaces and good food. Cheaper alternative is the Cedar River Smokehouse BBQ. It's somewhat small so 30 people would pretty much take over the place.

I second Cedar River. But you could get some cool pics @ The Landing too, they have outdoor fireplaces :o)

My favorite place to eat in Renton is Whistle Stop Ale House... they could probably accomodate 30 people if you make reservations. Another place I've heard great things about is The Red House, but I've personally never been there. My co-workers rave about it and it's good wine selection, but I don't know if it would accomodate 30 people or not :o)

Oh, another place for pictures: Renton High School. I think that building is gorgeous!

Re: Armandos. I used to live in Renton & a couple years ago I reserved the private room for my bday party of about 20 ppl. I love Armando's food but they really pi$$ed me off on my bday! :( When I had gotten there about 4 or 5 of my guests were already there and seated in the dining room. I made the reservations with the owner and has spoken to him a few times prior to my bday. I asked him (the night of my bday) and he just shrugged me off! I was so upset! I almost took my $ else where!!

I love blossom Asian bistro but my favorite is the Red House. It is my all time favorite Renton restaurant. They have Weds. Wine tastings & buffet for $20 if you want to check it out first. The owner's name is Gene. He is so nice! We've been there many times! Also, his wife owns blossom Asian bistro. :) I'm not sure if the Red House can accom. 30 ppl. But it's worth asking! The bistro could.

Since Renton isn't too far from Tukwila, how about the Old Spaghetti Factory in Southcenter?  They have a banquet room in the back behind the bar area that accomodates up to 50 and they also have that balcony area at the top above the main dining area which probably accomodates about 30ish or so.
