Introduction/ Venue Ideas?

Hi girls,

My name is Laura,and I just wanted to introduce myself to the board.  I am currently living in Boston, but am from Fairfield County, and am hoping to have my fall 2011 wedding in CT.  If anyone has any venue recommendations, I  would love to hear them.  We are thinking of a Friday night wedding for around 150 people, and would like to keep it around $100-115 a head.

    I am mostly interested in Fairfield County, but anywhere an hour or so drive from Danbury would be good.

    If you haven't already, you should look at the CT vendor list that Vikki maintains.  If you look at the very top of the CT board posts, there is a post that says "CT Recommended Vendor List"  Click on there and Kim has listed the link to the page.  All the recommended venues are listed w/ the town noted.  From what I understand all of the vendors listed on there have been recommended by CT knotties and nesties.  I'm sure there are more than that, but at the very least you know that people had a good experience there.

    Probably about an hour from Danbury, is my reception place, Amarante's in New Haven. You would be able to keep it under 115 there. It's gorgeous! Yay 2011!! I'm having a Friday wedding in June.
