Workout Accountability: Tuesday

Ok, I'm hoping this post shows up since TK is still acting up.

I FINALLY returned to the gym last night.  I was able to do weights for legs and then the elliptical and it felt great. I'm a little sore today, but so glad to be back into it again.  Tonight will probably only be a 3 mile run, since I  haven't run in a whole week.

How did you all do?

  • Nice job!  Last night I did biceps, triceps, and some shoulders  instead of running.  I like to take one weekend day to do strength training but never had the chance this weekend, so yesterday was it!  Tonight I will probably do a 5K.  We will see :)
  • I'm glad you guys have been able to run!  I am still really crackly in my chest & I sound like a boy in puberty :(  I am going to try to do a weightlifting class & a yoga class this week, and wait until I'm clear before I start any running... which bums me out because I just got my new shoes yesterday and I want to break them in!  I loved my running shoes so much that I found the same ones on zappos & ordered two pair.  That should get me through the marathon and probably even more than that.  YAY!

  • Tonight I am going to do the 60 min turbo kick class followed by a 60 min PiYo class at my gym!

  • Started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred yesterday.. 5k run at the gym in about 30 minutes!
  • The treadmill was occupied when attempted to run this morning. For compensation, I spent 30 mins on the elliptical, then worked shoulders/arms, abs, legs. Ended with a 1.5 mile run. Way to go, everyone!

    Thats so exciting about the new shoes but I am sorry to hear that you still arent feeling well. I hope soon you are able to get out and run! But in the meantime might I suggest putting on the new shoes and walking? It will get your feet used to the newness and also used to the new rubbing! Plus I am a firm believer that light exercise helps get out the crud and get you on the road to feeling better faster! Good luck and most of all feel better :-)

    I got in a P90X legs and back, and ab ripper this morning. At lunch I got in a 30 minute incline walk and tonight I anticipate a little cleaning around the townhouse!

  • Nice job everyone.

    I decided to day was a rest day for me.  I planned on going to the gym today but I sprained my wrist last night at work lifting and moving shelfs.  Frusterated I just decided to take day off.

    Tomorrow I will make it to the gym and just do some treadmill work.
