What's on your wedding to do list for this weekend?

I have a couple things I hope to complete...

- Stamp place cards... I ordered plain ones, they're all getting a floral stamp

- Finish song selections for DJ

- Fill bubble tubes for our grand exit

- Go shopping with FMIL for plates, napkins etc for rehearsal dinner... possibly also buy the beer and wine

- wrap BM gifts

- motivate FH to commit to and buy GM gifts (this one might be a bit ambitious)

Right? I went and got my BMs gift cards and FI was like...umm..that's dumb. I was like REALLY?!?!?!??! AT LEAST I GOT THEM SOMETHING! He hasn't even thought of what he's going to get them yet! lol

With only 22 days left, I don't have many weekends left!

- FI's daughter will be here tonight and we will go to my mom's tomorrow to finish her dress (she's my JrBM) and buy her some shoes.
- Make labels for the candy jars and bags for the candy buffet.
- Put together the BM survival kits (bought the stuff today)
- Pick music!!! (my big must)
- Mom will start altering my dress after I go over there with my shoes that came in this week
- Check the centerpieces that mom is putting together.

and I think that's all I have left to do for the wedding except transportation...but I'm waiting on more quotes...

Same! I got my gifts for the GMs (personalised tie clips with the latitude and longitude of the wedding on the front and their initials on the back), but FI is dragging his feet! He has bought the boys' ties, but wants to get something else as well. No idea yet what he will do!

I have to get invitations printed this weekend and sent out by the beginning of the week.

Here's mine:

-Finish song selections for DJ

-Finish card box (we're using a wine barrel planter with fabric over the top. I need to cut and hem the fabric, and test it all out with the ribbon)

-Print out the guestbook and menus

-Get a frame for the guestbook

Oh man, I have the longest to-do list this weekend. I only have this weekend and next to get everything done since we'll be in Vegas the weekend before the wedding.

This weekend:
- buy candy and scoops for the buffet - do a mock up
- add I DO to my heels
- iron on BM tank tops
- stamp well wish cards
- seating chart
- stuff frames (all the signs have been printed)
- return a couple shower gifts to VS and pick up replacements
- final DJ meeting (well, it's Monday, not this weekend)
- write thank you cards for shower and gifts already received

Next weekend:
- pick up wedding dress
- programs
- finalize vows
- assemble BM gifts, including hand written letters

That's it. Once I accomplish these tasks, we will be done. 100% ready.

We're having our big meeting with the venue on Monday, so I have to put together a list of questions for them and they need a list of our vendors.

Otherwise, we need to work on music, the program for the ceremony, decide what else to get for my bridesmaids (I have wine glasses, a pendant, and some lotion for each of them, planning on getting a bottle of wine and gift cards for each of them). Figure out something to get for the flower girl and ring bearer. Decide if we're going to exchange gifts and buy them. Figure out what to get our parents, and FI needs to figure out what to get his groomsmen.

I'm thinking a lot of these may be bought at Things Remembered...they have some nice frames and I think maybe we'll get engraved frames for our parents and maybe he can get flasks for the groomsmen. I was thinking of getting frames for my girls too, they have some really nice ones. I know that's where I'm getting FI's gift, if we exchange them.

Oh and thank you notes for the shower.

Plus on the last day of my weekend (which will be Tuesday, I work tomorrow) I'm planning on making a romantic dinner for FI, which means I have to get up early and shop so he won't see the ingredients in the fridge and then cook half the day! I'm looking forward to it, though, we're using the china for the first time (we got four sets for Christmas).

This weekend we are doing the following

Getting marriage license
Make play list for reception
Help FI get gift for GM
I need to get something for my niece who is handing out programs
final consultation with photographer

Next weekend I hope to meet with you officiate, he has been on a pilgrimage in Israel for the week and half so we need to meet with him. I think after that I will be totally ready for the wedding.

oooh, photographer. That's something else we need to do, make up a list of must-have shots.

at our original meeting with the photographer I know he was against having a receiving line because they take 20-30 minutes but I think we're going to do one anyway. I don't want to be walking around to tables during dinner, I want to actually EAT the dinner we paid for.

My only bridesmaid that is nearby (except my 8 yr old daughter) is coming over to knock out as much as we can. The goal is to finish the pew flower cones and work on favor boxes. My Mom needs to fit my daughter's dress to her for alterations and once FI gets done coaching 4 bball games today, it would be really nice if we could decide on our final bible passage for the ceremony so I can let the minister know.

I have a lot more to do, but these are the items for this weekend.
