Wedding Woes

I remember what it was that had me so irate.

It was the gaadamn Politics and Current Events board.  You'd think that on a baord devoted to that, you'd have people who actually care about making the country a better place, but no.  On a poll about whether people were satisfied with the job Obama is doing, no fewer than six people chimed in with some version of "well, he's better than McCain would have been", as though there were only two candidates running in the last presidential election.  It's the Simpsons over and over again, with people not even bothering to vote for someone whose stances they agree with, just casting their lot with the least offensive of the candidates who are most likely to win.

And yeah, Baconsmom, it's someone else's vote to do with whatever they want, but what they're doing with it sucks.  They're propping up a two party system that almost no one likes out of cowardice.  SHAME!

Oh, no, I'm totally with you on this one. This INFURIATES me. Every election, someone I know is all, "But if you vote Libertarian, X will win! You have to vote AGAINST him!"

And I'm always irate. No. I do not have to vote AGAINST anything. I have the luxury of being able to vote FOR things I believe in, and FOR people with whom I agree on principles.

And then I get "Well, you're WASTING YOUR VOTE." No, jerkface, I'm not. The lesser of two evils is still evil - and I can sleep at night knowing I didn't vote for evil.

Kuus, I love when you are in a pop off sort of mood. Let me think of something that might get you worked up.

I think it's mostly funny because people act like they could've predicted something that never happend (ie-McCain being voted in).

Ugh.  I did poop today (and now that I think about it, I think I forgot to flush), but my belly us rumbling ominously.
