Midwest Conf Center in Northlake

I'm searching for a reception site in the NW suburbs and this one seems great, but they don't have many pictures online.  I've been emailing with the special events coordinator, but I'd really like an unbiased opinion.

Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) to share about the Midwest Conference Center?  Thanks!

I think a Chicago Knottie had her wedding there.

My FI grew up in the area and refused to even look at that venue. The building itself sits right up against the expressway and the ramp to get on the expressway. The area is not very attractive at all. Part of the building serves as a retirement facility. I was amazed that they even offered weddings there b/c it doesn't seem to be a very pleasant space.

I went to a wedding there last year and at first, I was like, "WTF?" but it actually wasn't bad.  Even the view of the expressways was kind of nice, you're so high up.  The food was average banquet hall food.  Overall, better than I expected.

The location is really not the best. Like the previous posters mentioned it is right next to the Eisenhower and part of the building is a retirment home.

It really is an odd place for a reception hall.

I've been there for a trade show and it is just weird....

The parking lot is awkward to navigate to...
