aisle runner

Hi! I am getting married outside at a summer camp (in the dirt!).  My dress is lace and I have a small train.  I understand my dress will be quite dirty by the end of the day, however, I would like to keep it clean as long as possible... AKA until the pictures are over!  Do I go with an aisle runner??? Help! Thanks. My wedding is in  10 days and I need to make up my mind!

Re: aisle runner

  • An aisle runner really is the best way to go, although sometimes they can be fairly expensive to rent.  That will ensure that your dress stays clean at least until te pictures...as long as they're right after the ceremony.

My dress also has a short train and we're getting married on the beach at low tide (sand will still be a bit wet) so we're kind of in the same boat here.

  • I do not know if either of you ladies have a craft store near you, such as a Hobby Lobby or what not, but they sell a thinner aisle runner for maybe $40 sometimes cheaper, so if you want one to keep your dress as clean as possible, that may help!

My wedding is outside in a field, so in between grass and dirt, that is the route that I went!
  •  hey girls i'm in  the same boat getting married at the summer camp where me and my soon to be husband met.  i have seem aisle runners and craft stores but i seen then really cheap on line ..... however you might have  do rush shipping depending on your date
  • Hi,  I saw an aisle runner made from straw beach mats.  The bride had sewn five beach mats together and the runner was about 25 feet long.  It looked very natural and outdoorsy and beach mats are about $5 from Wal-mart etc.  Good Luck!
  • We have an aisle runner and our wedding will be outside on the grass. I'm worried about our heels poking holes and getting stuck in the runner. Has anyone else had an aisle runner on the grass and were there any issues??
