Strange Question

Okay, this may sound strange...

I found necklaces that I LOVE for my bridesmaids.  They're from J Crew, but the pearl and stones are "faux" stones.

Is it tacky to get more costume jewelry for your bridesmaids, or is this okay to give as their jewelry?  Should I go with one real pearl from a jeweler instead?

I don't think it's tacky at all, J. Crew jewelry is way nicer than the jewelry I got my girls for their dresses and way nicer than other jewelry I have received as a bridesmaid. I mean I got them other stuff too but I would be super happy to get a J. Crew necklace because I love their jewelry and I definitely think it would be wearable after the wedding!

Thanks!  I feel the same way, I just wasn't sure what the etiquette was.

Not tacky at all. Just be sure that none of your girls are allergic to the nickel that is often used in costume jewelry metal. I had to go with sterling silver because one out of 3 of my girls had a nickel sensitivity. I bought my jewelry for them at JC Penney on a great 50% off sale, so each set (earrings & necklace) only cost me $30 per girl.

Good advice, JKohio...I'll check that out and make sure everyone is okay.
