Printing Help for Tape Issue

In order to print my invite pieces, I have to tape the insert pieces to a piece of regular computer paper. Not a big deal. I have time to work through them all slowly.

However, I did my trial pieces last night and the scotch tape I used pulled the edge up from my insert. Does anyone have a recommendation for a better way the affix the insert to the paper? It's not bad. I don't think people would really notice but I'd prefer things to be nice and neat.

    Try masking tape?  Some of it is designed specifically to lift cleanly.

    Yes more specifically try blue painter's tape! 

    But is there a reason you need to tape them down? If they're a 3.5x5 card (A1 or 4Bar) you should be able to just load them in the printer and create a custom paper setting?

    Part of my invite is a circle. The printer won't suck the circle in so I have to tape it down.

    what about double stick taping the back?  at least then any imperfections would be on the back.
