Color Question

My wedding dress is ivory, my MOH dress is navy blue, groom will wear a charcol grey suit and BM, ushers and dad's will all wear some variation of grey suit. My mom bought a dress today that is silver gray (it has a light blue tint so it goes well with stepdad's suit, etc).

My official colors are ivory and navy blue...I did not really have my mind set on a 3rd color.
The dilemma is that I wanted to have gold accents at the reception (i.e. gold trimmed dishes, flatware, and other accents)...will this clash with the bridal party or does it not even matter?  I don't want to do silver and blue for the reception b/c I think it is too wintery...I think the gold (with ivory and navy blue) would be nice and warm for a September wedding. What do you ladies think???

    I think that's fine. I think you can add more color options as long as they compliment each other... I didn't want matchy, matchy at my wedding, so I had a lot of neutrals, taupe, brown, white, ivory with small touches of bright oranges, corals to a very light orange, gold, etc. It turned out very pretty. I don't like when you go into a room and it looks like you color matched every single thing to one or two color swatches.

    Wardrobe doesn't need to match the table settings.  So no, it doesn't clash, and no, it doesn't even matter.

    I am doing navy and champagne. I agree with pp that decor shouldn't match the parents/wp.

    what color shirt did your groom wear?  I have an ivory dress and trying to decide if my groom needs to wear an ivory shirt or if a white shirt would be okay.
