Salem Ballrooms

Anyone know of any nice ballrooms in Salem (besides the Grand Ballroom) that will accomodate 300 people ?  Need room for dancing and a buffet meal.

Thanks!

We went to a reception at the Trinity Ballroom (part of the Reed Opera House) nearly 10 years ago now.  It was really nice.  I know the guest list was over 400 but I'm not sure how many actually attended.  Their website says they can accomodate 264 seated at tables, though, so I bet you could make it work. http://www.reedoperahouse.com/leasing/trinity.htm

I've also been to a reception at the Mission Mill Museum's Spinning Room.  Another one that was really nice and the website says it can accomodate up to 400 for a banquet.  http://www.missionmill.org/facilities.html

The thing I liked about both places was the openness and the windows, plus both were (to my recollection) fairly neutral in their decor so you weren't stuck going with a certain feel or colors.

I went to a wedding at the mission mill and it was absolutely beautiful! I loved the venue and it lent so much beauty even before decor! It would be an awesome choice, and pretty affordable!

I third Mission Mill.... but that's because I think that's what we're going to go with. We'd be using the smaller room, though. The big room is in a beautiful building on the third floor and you go up in a glass elevator where you can see the old mill set-up exhibits on the other floors.... AMAZING. I loved that part of it. The room itself is a little old-looking.. painted brick that is chipping.. has an old feel. Nice clean floors, though. I have pics and the wedding packet if you want me to send them to you.

Mission Mill is great but you have to provide all your own catering, linens, and dishware....we were looking around salem and decided on the salem conference center...it is amazing and they are great to work with. They are full service so you dont have to worry about anything.  I'd be happy to share more info with you!
