RENTAL CHAIRS/LINENS/PERSON TO MARRY US?

Hello all.

I am beginning the planning/budgeting thing for the wedding, and I need help from you! We are having the wedding at/in a gazebo, so I am looking to rent about 50 chairs. I am NOT interested in the brown metal fold up chairs. I would like the white wooden chairs. I am also possibly looking to rent covers/sashes for the chairs. Could somebody possibly quote me a price, or send me info on a website? Also, my boyfriend is Catholic, and I am not. It's not fair to me if a person from his church marries us, and it's not fair to him if a person from my church marries us. Do you(or anybody you know) have any reccomendations?

I'm using Davidson Rental in New Albany for the resin white chairs. They had a good price. My mom spoke to them, she said they were really nice. http://www.davidsonrental.com/

Check craigslist, ebay, and linen companies to purchase linens (or buy then from someone on TK!). It's often cheaper than renting, and you can resell when you're done.

Just an FYI regarding an officiant, the only way you'd be able to have a Catholic priest officiate the wedding would be to have it in a Catholic church. It's very very rare that they will do any weddings outside of a church....so that wouldn't be an option for an officiant anyway.

But just about anyone can become an officiant online, just google it. There are a number of websites where someone can be ordained/certified to perform marriages.

Regarding an officiant- my friend had a good friend of her and her husband's get ordained online and he did the ceremony. It worked really well for them and added a nice personal touch (moreso than if they had just gotten someone they didn't know)

I also used Davidson Rentals for my chairs - they were great, no complaints at all! I used Rev Eric Davidson (no relation to chair company lol) for our ceremony and he did a good job too. For chairs, make sure you figure in delivery/removal costs when budgeting. I found the charges varied a lot company to company. I have reviews and contact info in my bio.
