If you could go back in time, would you pick the same people to be in your bridal party (or give them the same roles)?

It seems that a lot of people have a falling out with at least one memeber of their BP during the course of planning wedding stuff.

Yup. I'm happy with every single one of them. Well, I guess. I know my sister doesn't give a rats patootie about being in the wedding, and I'm okay with that. She can back out if she wants, it wouldn't offend me. I think she honestly just said yes because I'm her sister.

I probably would have kicked my cousin Aileen out and subbed in my friend Jamie or Erin. That was my instinct, but I talked myself into thinking this would be a great way to reconnect with my cousin.

I would probably swap out my college roommate. We didn't have a falling out or anything and I love her but she lives in Boston and just didn't really help or contribute to anything and my sister/MOH had a lot of problems getting in touch with her about stuff. (we only talk like once every 4 months bc shes so hard to get a hold of) So I think I would have chosen someone who would have been more involved.

I would just make my MOH a BM and asked my one friend or SIL.

I also would like to add my one friend from here in Philly, but her wedding is 3/19 so it might not have worked.

I would have added one to the BP, and I also would have added an old friend or two to the guest list. I'd keep every girl I had in the BP.

I haven't had an issue with anyone so far. Except maybe my diva flower girl, but I wouldn't change her out. Everyone on my side has their own quirks.

MOH is super busy and hard to get in touch with, but when it comes down to it, she comes through.

My sister is the self-proclaimed "stylist" of my wedding... and she's taken over all decisions regarding hair and makeup. But she'll be a licensed cosmotologist in a few months, so all the power to her.

My other friend in the wedding (mother of my FG) is the most reliable person I know.

And my two cousins are so worried about everything. it's adorable. They asked me about 5 months ago what shoes should they get. IDK! It's like a year away!

I think I would probably keep the same girls... Not all of them contributed as much as I would have liked. But they are all important to me and it was more of a symbolic thing than anything else...

I'd probably had made it smaller. I am definitely less close to some people now. And they've been giving my mom and sister hell with the shower and the bachelorette. What kills me (at least with the shower), is that my mom is paying for the whole thing! WTF, don't complain about it then. You have been asked to do and contribute nothing. End vent.

I don't think I'd change anything. I had a bit of a problem with one, but she's apologized since and is super involved now.

I honestly would go back and fight harder to not have a FG or RB - for me those roles are pointless. I'm not an aunt, I'm not super close to any younger children, nor do I have any in my family. Fi's niece and nephew are the FG and RB - but I have a feeling it's only b/c they did those roles in FSILs wedding. I really didn't want kids anywhere near my ceremony or reception - but "we had to have them" according to FI. I'm pretty sure if their parents could leave them at home, they'd be happier.

I would have added my friend who sang into the BP. I thought it would be easier on her for travel and everything if she just sang, but I don't think that people understood how important she is to me! (BF from HS).

I wouldn't have changed anything else!

I have one I am on the fence about. She has been my friend forever, but we really dont hang out or talk as much and I know she is causing some problems with the other BMs. Overall, I wouldnt change my decision though Just worried about drama the girls arent telling me about!

I would have had my cousin as a BM instead of a reader, and one of my BMs as the reader. I may have made our friendship worse if she wasn't a Bm, but she drove me insane as well as the other BMs. I don't feel that close to her anymore and when I do see her she sucks the life out of me. I would have not had one of my friends as a reader, I felt bad because she was offering to help with things so I made her a reader, but she never followed through with helping and backed out of my bach party last minute and hasn't talked to me since the wedding.
I probably would have invited some knottie though. (I think DH would agree on that too)

I felt bad when all was said and done that I didn't ask one of my friends to be in my bridal party. She's always been there for me and we've known each other since middle school. There was one person in my bp who didn't give a damn about it but it would have caused worse problems if I hadn't asked her. My side already had 3 more than DH's so I didn't want to go any further.

I didn't think to ask the friend I"m talking about and it was stupid of me b/c I got engaged on my bday and she was the first person to call me to say "happy birthday" that day. Then once word spread of our engagement, she texted me again that night (she didn't call b/c she figured I was "busy" lol). Anyway, I still kick myself to this day for not asking her. She never said anything about it and I don't think she really cared, but I wish she was in those pictures standing by me.
