RSVP with no name

So yesterday when I checked the mail I had 3 RSVP envelopes  woo hoo!! I opened 2 of them up, declines   boo!! but the third had no return address label and they didn't write their names on the card so I have no idea who it's from.  :(

Luckily, I only sent out the first 20 before I realized I could get into this predicament and then started writing in invisible ink on the back of the response card the names of the invitees.

So it looks like I have some research to do, but thankfully not a whole lot!

    hmm - that's interesting. Maybe ask your mom or FILs if anyone has talked to them about RSVPs. Then you can reconcile that list to the ones you have so far. This could get tricky with the seating chart, escort cards, etc...

    I like the idea of invisible ink! It's all super secret CIA-like. Totally going to steal that idea.

    Don't some people number them?  I am sending mine out soon. Should I do that?

    Yes, Susan. I believe some people number them and you should definitely do some sort of tracking for them, so if you number them on the back just make sure you have a reference sheet so you can keep track when you're getting them back.

    My mom thinks it's my aunt, since she called and said that she mailed both hers and her sons on the same day and I received my cousins.

    I actually bought the pens from another knottie last year.  I looked it up and it looks like Amazon carries them.  Look for "secret agent pens".  The ink is invisible and it has a little blacklight on the opposite end so you can see what you wrote. :)

    Too funny!! I got about 22 invites back "accepting" with no name on them.  Or they would write "Mr & Mrs Brown" accepts.  Well 80% of my family's last names are Brown, how am I to know which ones you are!!

    Hey! That's a good idea for anyone in the future!! Maybe make pre addressed return labels and put them on the back of your RSVP envelopes so then you know exactly who the RSVP is from??

    Actually...that's a good idea!! However, the kid in me still wants an excuse to use a secret agent pen...

    Number your RSVP cards discretely on the back, easy to keep track.
