I'm Married!!!! PIP

Hey girls!
So I've been married for 41 days now, and I've been so lazy about doing my recap. I'll give y'all a brief overview of my weekend.

Friday, April 20
We had the "rehearsal" at the venue at 12:00pm...it was planned for Friday evening, but I found out the week before that they had weddings back to back all weekend starting Friday at 4 so we had to reschedule. I knew none of the BMs and GMs were going to make it, so I just used the time to go over any last minute details.

Saturday, April 21
By Saturday, pretty much everyone was in town. My sister was staying with my mom and H's two cousins were staying with us in our (one bedroom) apartment. H and cousins left in the morning to start his bachelor party. I spent most of Saturday at home alone doing some last minute stuff, but mostly just relaxing. I was really thankful for the time alone because I had a chance to prepare for the next day.

That night was our rehearsal dinner at the inlaw's house. We got a chance to introduce all of our BMs and GMs to each other and practice everything that was going to happen at the wedding. After the rehearsal, me, my mom and my sister checked in to the hotel that was on the premises of the venue.

Sunday, April 22
I was so excited that I didn't fall asleep until after 4 am, and woke up at 9am. My mom ran last minute errands while my sister and I went to breakfast and got our hair and make up done. We got back to the hotel at 2:30, so my sister got dressed and I carried my dress down the venue because I planned on getting dressed there so my photog could take pictures at 3. At 3, my photog came and the rest of BMs were there. The ceremony was supposed to start at 4, but didn't start until about 4:30 because no one could find the groom and GMs. I hate being late, but I tried not to get upset.

Honestly, the ceremony was my favorite part. My walk down the aisle went by in flash, and my husband looked so f*cking handsome. I was excited to see him and finally become one with him after seven years.

After all that was done, we took a few pitcures during the cocktail hour, then had our introductions and started dinner. After everyone had been served, we did our first dance and toasts, then got the party started.

Overall, it was great day. I was happy to be with the love of my life and 120 of our closest family and friends. Lots of things didn't go as planned and I wish I had more time to spend with our guests, but everyone had a great time and at the end of the day we were married!

Words of advice:
1. Have a day of coordinator. I didn't have one, and now I wish I did. Everything would have run much smoother and my mom and aunts would have been able to enjoy the wedding more.
2. I just read on someone else's recap to keep your new husband near you at all times, and I agree. Getting split up on your wedding day is not fun. Also, try to have a couple of times through the night where you and and he can talk privately and see how the other is doing - emotions, thoughts, and what not. It's really fun to share that together.
3. Something is going to go wrong. Just relax and go with the flow. No one will even notice.

So, that wasn't as brief as I had planned. Anywho, we haven't gotten a lot of pro pics back yet, but I'm sharing what I have along with a few from the guests. I'll post more once I get the rest from my photog!

Thanks for all of your support and advice through the process!!
