Poll: Jazz or Classical for cocktail hour?

I always envisioned a classical pianist for my cocktail hour but I am starting to think that Jazz would be kind of fun!  We are getting married at a historical woman's club with our cocktail hour in the first floor "tea room" and reception in the ballroom

Would you do it?

    I'm truly saddened to think someone would actually vote No. OP, for what it's worth: I'm a classically trained musician, and I prefer jazz for cocktail hour. It is every bit as classy as classical, but adds a certain spirit and energy that is perfect for a wedding. I had a jazz trio for my cocktail hour and months later people are still raving about that.

    :)  Thank you!  You have made me feel a lot better about the situation!  I am actually classically trained as well (piano/cello) and was afraid I was leaning one way or another because of that background.  Thank you!

    Happy to help!  I'm a pianist also.  :)  I got my classical fix in with the ceremony, LOL.  I think we spent more time planning the music for that than anything else!
