Creative Ways to tell your friends your engaged

Hi!

My bf and I just got engaged in Hawaii! We are trying to figure out how to let our close friends know we are engaged. Should we call them, send them a photo of the ring, wait until we get back and tell them in person? Any suggestions?

    It depends on what your preference is - you can call them if you just want to tell them right away, or wait until you get back if you really value seeing their expressions.

    When I got engaged, I called everyone the day after I got engaged. I was so excited that I had to tell them right away. No need to be creative.

    We happened to be at OBX with my family on vacation when he proposed, so we told a lot of them in person. I texted ring pictures to a few close friends and he called some of his family and friends. Once we let everyone know who would get offended if they found out via FB or secondhand, we mentioned it online.

    I would call those you're closest to, send a picture of the ring to those you're less close to, and let the rest find out on FB :)

    We got engaged while on vacation away from home. I took a picture of the ring while wearing it, so they could plainly see what finger it was on and texted it to a couple good friends with the caption 'just want you to see my new piece of jewellery'. I rarely wear jewellery so I  knew they would get the point.... true to form my own girlfriend almost immediately texted back "OMG... WHAT FINGER IS THAT ON... SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!" lol and I followed each text up with a call, it was just a fun way to start it off :)
