I forgot to post this earlier but I bought my dress on Thursday!!! I can't believe I got such a big check off my list done! I was really nervous and terrified of taking this step, I don't know why, but it turned out to be not bad at all!
I was accompanied by my grandma, my MOH, one of my BM's and her boyfriend (whom I have known for several years; he wasn't a stranger or anything. I feel kind of bad because it first I didn't want him there but he turned out to be very vocal and helpful. It was nice to have a guy's perspective!)
I went to DB, and my consultant was really awesome and helpful. At first, I thought I was going to be disappointed because out of the 8 dresses I wanted to try on, they only had ONE in stock! But my consultant worked very hard to pull dresses that were at least very similar to the ones I had wanted to try. I also learned that I prefered ivory over white, and that strapless dresses were not the enemy.
I unfortunately do not have pictures of all the dresses I tried on (there were 5) but I have PLENTY of pictures of mine!
It's an ivory, A-line strapless gown. It's made of chiffon and has an empire waist (like my BM dresses). The bust has some ruching, and there's some rose embriodery and beading that borders the waist. The embroidery wraps around the waist, then splits into two trails at the back, going down the train. Also, it's light and airy and comfortable. It's perfect for an outdoor wedding on what could be a very hot day!

They made me wear a veil LOL Oh, and I don't know if this is at all DB's, but they told me I had to ring a bell and make a wish when I found "The Dress", so that's my consultant's hand giving me the bell in this shot.
Everyone was staring at me so I started to crack up!

I'm thinking I might want to add the straps to this dress anyway, because my shoulders are so broad and it's a lot of skin to deal with! It also needs to be hemmed (as you can see).
