Kids Table

Ok so we have 10 kids coming to our reception and I though of some way s of what to do to decorate the kids table tell me what you ladies think and if you are doing a kids table or not.

So instead of flowers for the centerpiece I am going to do a lolipop centerpiece and at the end all the kids can take them home, also each child will have a thing of bubbles with their name on it as their place card, each place setting instead of a menu they will have a coloring book w/crayons, in each coloring book there will be a picture of us with that particular chilld so they can remember the day, and we are also including a movie giftcard or like chucke cheese giftcard as their favor that they can use while they are here visiting or when they get back home.

So what do you guys think?

Lastly the Dj will be playing about 45 minutes of nothing but radio disney songs so they kids can get up and dance and have fun and feel like they are at their own lil party.

That's a great idea. I am going to have a lot of kids myself but they are going to be welcome on the dance floor and watch DVD movies. They are going to sit with their parents though.

I think that's a great idea...I do think 45 minutes of Radio Disney songs is kinda long...What age range are the kids?

The kids are 4-13, we think 45 minutes is perfect cause it gives us the chance to go around to each of our quest and thank them for coming and take picutres with them.

Those are great ideas. We're going to have a kids table and they will each get activity bags as their favor. They have crayons, mini, coloring books, mad libs, mini yo'yos, basically a whole bunch of fun things I picked up from party stores to keep them entertained. I also hired a babysitter to sit with them at the table so that their parents can enjoy the reception without having to worry about the kids.

Oh ok...That makes sense....You know what I thought would be cute too...Having little thank you bags with different stuff in it...Like a cookie, juice box, hair ties etc etc

Good ideas! I was thinking about doing a kids table but had a lot of reservations. You alll have answered all of the questions I had except this one- Should there be a kids table if the kids are just going to run over to their parents all night? I was also thinking of doing like a pre-teen teenager table since they are the ones who don't want to be around grown ups! What ideas would you have for a teen table?

Great ideas. I am also doing the candies CP for the kids table and the coloring books.

I wish I had your heart and do the disney songs. I love love you their favors. Very thoughtful!

I only listen to radio disney when I have my kids in the car, every now and again one of my daughters will ask to hear beyonce or alicia keys, my kids are true disney kids, like a few of te other kids coming.

I hope the kids don't run to the table where there parents are all night bu tI will make sure we talk about how their behavior should be prior to so hopefully everyone will listen, I just so happen to be the Aunt everyone's kids listen to :)

If we had older kids coming to I would soooooo do a preteen/teen table so they don't feel like they are babysitting all night. I would do it up a lil more for them, instead of candy centerpieces I would do choc covered pretzel sticks, instead of chuck e cheese gift cards maybe itunes ones, i can't think of anything for placecards but you get where im going.

Those are all great ideas.  I actually did not plan on a kids table because I am secretly hoping that kids will not show up.  But I'm sure that won't happen.  I found this on kimandwillie's planning bio: http://weddings.shanbritedesigns.com/templates.htm. It has a bunch of templates and a few of them are activity book templates.  In case you don't have one yet.
