Anyone planning on wearing a coat with wedding dress?

Getting married in Dec and I plan on taking pics around the city, should I bring a coat? My dress is strapless.

    Yes. You never know what the weather is like and you don't want to be miserable in your pics. I was in a wedding in Nebraska last November and it was FREEZING. The bridesmaid dresses were short and we had no sweaters. It was unpleasant. The upshot is no one was sweating in the pics.

    So, I recommend having a cute lace bolero or a faux fur coat to wear. My mom got a nice white fur (usually I disapprove of furs, but she bought it for herself) that I will be wearing if it's cold enough at my winter wedding. I'm also converting my veil into a wrap at the reception, which should be warmer than outside for pictures. If you want to know how to convert your veil to a wrap, let me know and I can give you the details. Otherwise I won't bore you here!:)

    Thanks for the tip. I've never been to NOLA so I don't know what to expect! I think I'm going to get a fun faux fur jacket.

    I would definitely be prepared with a coat, but you never know.  The weather is crazy.  Sometimes it's cold enough for snow, but then again I have been in shorts and flip flops for Christmas before.  Even if it's not super cold, a faux fur would make for pretty pictures!

    I'm getting hitched in January, and I'll probably be wearing a coat off and on at some point, but I don't plan to for pics (hoping for indoor bridal portraits).  Dress is strapless, and I have this gorgeous long red coat that I might wear when we get in the limo.  I know "bride = no red" whatever, but I think it'll look really sharp against the white, and seriously, I get COLD!!!  ;)  hahaha
