So I dont know if I ever told you girls about the drama that has become of my dads side of the family but Ill give a "quick" recap so you understand my point...
Grandpa died in 2004 and it pretty much tore the family right up. Everyone started hating everyone. It was messy. Meanwhile my 13yr old cousin is breaking at the seams and noone but my sister and I notice. At 14 she was taking nude photos (covered by a hat or a guitar). Then at 17 shes into pot, mushrooms, acid, maybe coke, and drinking heavily. My sister and I both tried reaching out to her many times (we used to be inseperable) but we got nowhere. Ive broken up parties at her house when her parents were oot. I threatened to call the cops when she was 15 at a party (actually on the phone with the kid throwing it)
FF to this summer, shes 19 and still partying hard and dropped out of college and her parents response is "we partied at her age so we cant tell her no b/c we'd be hypocrites" ...actually you'd be her parents but whatever. So then some 55+ yr old man leaves a comment on her fb abt wanting to be in her bed and "insert vulger" and I LOST MY MIND. I messaged him threatening his life, messaged her telling her to pull her head out of her butt b/c this whole act was getting old and if her parents werent going to stand up to her then I would. It was bad. Well, her and my aunt called my mom and screamed at her. Mom gave them my # and said "shes an adult and obviously your daughter is not, call her" They didnt but I got an email telling me I am not in anyway to contact them ever and if I do...harrassment charges. (Which Id counter with a "shes got acid in her house, I saw it, search it")
So now my dad is all up in arms b/c I didnt plan on inviting any of his family (exception of gma) to the wedding. We made an agreement that they dont get a shower invite and if they dont come to my wedding, then my sister doesnt have to invite them to her wedding. Agreed
So today mom tells me that a shower card with $$ came to her house for me....signed by aunt, uncle, and cousin. WHAT?! Oh man. All I can think is "Chit, theyre prolly gunna come to the wedding!" Boy oh boy. My biggest fear is that my cousin will be high or try drinking even and Ill kick her a$$ out and start hell.
Warning, some people will surprise you when a wedding is involved!
People are inherently stupid. Weddings make it painfully obvious -- KevinandMonica
