Venues in Dayton Ohio

Has anyone used a venue in Dayton, Ohio where you can bring your own catering company and bring your own alcohol other than Polen Farm. I've seen one wedding at Aaron Wright house but I can't seem to find any information other than just the pictures from thier wedding. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!!

    We're having our reception at The Cannery Art and Design Center, which has no restrictions on catering or alcohol. Rental is $850 but that doesn't include any chairs or tables or anything, just the space. We absolutely LOVE the space; it's so unique! Here are a few pics:





    Many other places have a list of 'preferred' caterers which still gives you some flexibility: Aullwood Audobon Center, any of the Dayton History facilities (Carillon, Patterson Homestead, Memorial Hall), Boonshoft, Cox Arboretum, just to name a few. The other places I can think of that don't have preferred caterers are Arbor Hall and Montgomery County Fairgrounds.

    I believe there is a hall not far from Carillon, and most halls are open on the alcohol/catering. Sorry I don't know the name.  I know that it is close enough that you can see the bells.

    We are looking to host about 200 people, so Cox is too small. Do you think Boonshoft would hold that many? I am recently engaged so this whole process is DEATHLY overwhealming.. I can't even imagine how people do this less than a year in advance. Talk about STRESSED!

    Yep Boonshoft can hold that many...the whole museum holds like 1500, or you can rent just certain rooms/spaces within the museum to fit your needs. The preferred caterers are Brock Masterson's, Elite, Kohler, and Bernstein's.

    Don't stress too much- you have plenty of time! I'm sure you'll find the perfect place :) If you have any other questions feel free to message me or ask me here...we've looked at a crap ton of venues in Dayton!.

    Benham's Grove in Centerville, Ohio. We're using Elite Catering for food/drinks and they've worked that venue many times.
