Don't even know how to title this

Long story short a parent took over my wedding plans then backed out last minute. I now have a photographer, photobooth, Dj, offciant, dress, bridesmaids dress, honeymoon booked and no where to get married. This parent had already changed my date once before so I am now taking control of my own wedding. My wedding date is September 17th and I have no where to get married. This is the most outrageous thing that could ever happen. I don't even want to get into the story but I have no idea what to do. My photographer alone is 2 ,800 I can not loose my depoists! So pretty much in less then 4 months I need to find a new venue. This is going to be next to impossiable. My mom brought up having my wedding in her backyard which is just not possiable with over 200 guests. Sorry for my vent.

Where was it going to be before?  Is there a section of town you want to start trying to find a venue in?  Are you doing ceremony/reception at the same place?  Who have you tried so far - churches, hotels, golf courses, ballrooms, parks, etc?  Price range?  Don't panic (too much).... in the whole city, there is definitely somewhere left that you can get married in!!!

We were getting married at The metropolitan. I am open to any place I have contacted rush creek, profile event center, and golden valley golf club. My budget is going to have to be under 10,000 for all the food and everything. At this point I would rather the  venue be in St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, or Minneapolis. When I sent out my 2nd batch of Save the dates I put Minneapolis as the city.

We were roughly at $11,000 for our food, liquor and venue at Columbia Manor in NE Mpls for just under 200 people!  Another nearby place is the PNA Hall which is open catering (therefore even less than what we paid at Columbia Manor), if I'm not mistaken.  I'm not sure of the capacity.

I've heard good things about the Doubletree Hotel in St. Louis Park. I don't know how much they charge for food and whatnot, but it wouldn't hurt to check them out :-)

    Good luck and HTH!

Have you looked at the knottie msp/st paul bio yet? There would definitely be some more venues for you to look into under vendor reviews: reception sites, ceremony sites, reception and ceremony sites:

Golden Valley has a community room available for rental.  I don't know the capacity. When I looked at the place several years ago, they allowed open catering, so that's one way to keep costs down.

Five Event Center would be another one to look into- I think they have ceremony space available, can bring in your own caterer.

I thought the space was awesome, just not in the right location for me.  You may not be able to get the exact areas you want? so if you expanded a bit you might have better luck.

This -- I got married here this past Nov. Katie there is awesome!

My suggestion was going to be to talk to one of your other vendors (maybe your DJ if they are an established company and not somebody's side job) and ask them for help. I've done this for friends before when I worked at a DJ company. I had the venue guy send out one email to his catering manager contacts saying "Hey, does anyone have such-and-such date open?" and just forwarded the responses. Plus, since the guy worked w/venues constantly, he had a really good idea of who to ask based on the person's guest list and budget.

Just breathe! You will find something!

I planned my entire wedding in less than 7 months, and booked my venue at about the 5-month-prior mark. It's not impossible.

Check the Three Rivers Parks District... there are multiple venues, and when I was planning, a LOT of them had last minute openings because a lot of them are still emerging as "wedding venues."

I have called about 30 places thus far and the only avilable venue is the prom center. We would have to have our ceromoney with guests seated at the table which defintly isn't my first choice. I did just try to call instant request and they said they will ask around. Thanks so much ladies. I hope it all works out.

Metro State is a beautiful location on the lower end of the budget spectrum. I have no idea if they're available that day, but here is the info:

Also, if you just need somewhere for the ceremony, the city parks in Minneapolis and St. Paul are very beautiful and would be an option for you.

Check out jax cafe too, though it definitely has a specific vibe to it, but it is in kind of the NE mpls area. Their food is amazing.

Before we decided on a Vegas wedding, we had The Landmark Center booked for your date, I would guess it's been re-booked by now, but worth a call just in case it's not.

    Good luck!

The Earl Brown Heritage center is VERY pretty, has great food, and multiple different areas depending on size you need. Otherwise the 3 Rivers park district has some awesome, unique places for extremely affordable.
Another fun one could be the Arboretum, or even the conservatory if available. Lots of phone calls!... but it will all work out!
