Re: Help!

  • It is such a gorgeous dress and as someone who also lost their mother as a teenager I hate to be negative at all, but I really don't feel the pearls go with it. Could you do something else with them? Work them into your bouquet someway (like around the stem?).

  • Another option would be a set of pearl earrings.

  • I agree with achiduck.  I love the sentimental value attached to them but I don't think it really goes with the dress.  I think it's because of all the bling at the top of the dress (which is beautiful by the way!), the all pearl necklace kinda clashes with it.  I think incorporating the necklace by wrapping it around your bouquet is a wonderful idea!

see i am also thinking that too !!!but i am horrible at acessorizing so i wasnt sure i always feel like i have too much on so it all usually comes off lol! and i usually have no acessories on !!! what do you think i should wear??? i think any necklace would be too much !
  • I'm not a necklace person so I'm inclined to say a necklace would be too much with the bling at the top. I would find some gorgeous sparkly earrings (and maybe a bracelet) and call it a day.

<div>Actually, I think with the neckline of your dress (the one-shoulder) I would not do a necklace.  The one shoulder is already dramatic enough so that it draws attention to your neckline and I think the one shoulder is beautiful.  Adding a necklace would take away from that and make it too busy IMO.  I say go for some nice sparkly earrings and leave out the necklace.</div>

  • Your dress is gorgeous!  I hate to say it...but no necklace, not at all.  The beadwork is beautiful and you don't want to compete with that.  You need a fantastic pair of earrings.  Something sparkly!

  • I agree. I have a pearl necklace, that I love, but doesn't work with my dress. I took it to the jeweler and they made a clasp for it so that I could wear it as a bracelet. It just hooks on so that you don't have to modify the necklace. Maybe this is an option for you?  BTW: Dress = STUNNING!
