Groom's Attire

So we are trying to figureo ut the groom's attire. We were going to go with charcoal grey suits with ties but I couldn't help but feel bad because my fiance really wanted to wear a tux. Originally, I thought that a tux was too formal for our wedding but I have been seeing some more casual ones pop up on different blogs at vineyard weddings and elegant, backyard weddings.

I think we are going to gow ith this kind of tux:

More casual, no cumberbund or vest. Just a jacket, pants and bowtie. Also, the lapels aren't shiny, satin so I think it gives it a more casual feel.

Anyway, just wanted to give you an idea of what it will look like. My question is - my dress is ivory lace. Should my fiance and his groomsmen order white shirts or ivory shirts? I don't want my dress to look dirty or dark in pictures.

Here's a pic of my dress as well:

Thanks!

  • Oops sorry didn't realize I posted it twice!

  • My dress was ivory so DH and his groomsmen (and RBs) wore ivory shirts. I think they looked great!
  • My dress is alabaster (ivory) and we're ordering ivory for our men's wear. I doubt anyone will notice but myself, haha. =)
  • Ivory! One of my bridezilla pet peeves is when whites don't match. No one else will notice, or care, but it will drive me nuts! Can you check out their "ivory" though to make sure it matches with your dress? My dress is called "ivory" but it's much closer to white.

I agree. I'd go with ivory.
