Cozy restaurant for 50 person reception in Manhattan

Searching for the perfect charming restaurant for an intimate dinner reception this coming May. We're drawn to warm spaces with lots of wood and exposed brick. Our favorites so far have been Locanda Verde (http://locandaverdenyc.com/) and PJ Clarkes Sidecar (http://pjclarkes.com/sidecar/). Would love additional suggestions if anything comes to mind! Thank you!!!

Have you looked at Frankies 457?  It's in Brooklyn but has a lot of brick.

Love Frankies 457! That's exactly the feel we're looking for, but in Manhattan. About half of our guests will be from out of town, and I'm terrified of my grandmother getting lost on a subway ride to Brooklyn!

What about Palma on Cornelia?  I am not sure how many people they can do for a private party but it is such a cute space.

We picked The Mermaid Inn on the UWS

5 ninth, in the meat packing district, can accomodate up to 50 people.

Thank you for all the great suggestions! We ended up choosing Abe & Arthur's after they (shockingly) decided they would accomodate our modest budget. Woo hoo! One thing I've learned from this planning- it can't hurt to ask :)
