    ahhhhahahaha! very nice Hil!

    So that "stiff neck" I had yesterday never went away, got worse as the day went on and I had tears in my eyes trying to lift my head out of bed this morning. FI wants me to call the doctor, I don't want to sound like a hypochondriac.

    In my defense, we dated when I was 15 and at the time he was a total mommas boy.

    You should go see a doc Nicole.  If the pain's that bad, its not going to go away on its own.  Is it a pinched nerve or soreness/stiffness?

    Yea if you are in that  much pain Nicole you should go! Could be a slipped disc or something!  I hope it gets better. Did you take tylenol or something?

    Soo I think I am getting laid off from my marketing job today.   Which I am okay with, sort of.  My focus is real estate (when we have kids, I don't want a corporate job) so I was planning on just keeping it for some extra income for now and quitting permanently within the next year or two.. I did want to save up as much money as I could in the meantime by doing both - but if I can't, I can't, and I'll figure it out.

    Why do I think I'm getting laid off?  Well - I am supposed to be off today (we leave for CA at 2pm) but got an email yesterday at 4pm (my whole department did) with a meeting request for this morning at 10am from our regional VP.  It said nothing other than 'business update' and that it was required.  Since I was scheduled off, I did not respond right away.  I got a call from his assistant yesterday around 5pm wanting to know if I had gotten the request and to make sure I was in attendance even though I was off.  It was "Mandatory" .. Soooo ... I think our department is gone (we are an expendable group that an outsourced company could easily do the jobs of for less money, we've always said that, and they've been changing things around on us a lot over the past year).   We shall see.  

    Maybe I am over reacting to this meeting request, but 1) our VP never ever ever has contact with us  2) I was supposed to be off and still have to go?   3) It's only scheduled for an hour, our meetings are normally all day  4) it's only our department going (8 of us).  it's not like it's an all office meeting.

    Good Luck oods!  I don't know why they hold "meetings" to lay people off.  Its like ripping the band aid off quickly I guess... gets the pain over with all at once and as short as possible.

    At first my neck felt stiff, then the pain was shooting down my shoulder blade and arm yesterday. I took excedrin this morning and it is feeling a little better but still sore. I guess I'll call the dr.

    Morning. Dreary weather makes me wish I could have stayed in bed.

    Nicole go to the doctor. I went for my back after it hurt for 2 weeks, and the pain medication is definitely helping along with the excersises she gave me.

    Ooodsie - that stinks. What a terrible start to vacation. Hopefully it's not what you think it is, although I can certainly understand why you think the dept. is getting laid off. Damn recession. Good luck, and have fun CA! Don't let whatever happens ruin your vacation!

    Just in case you hadn't heard it enough -- Nicole -- go to the doctor!

    Kim, I hope that's not it, but it sounds ominous at best. That would be a sh!tty way to start vacay... Keep us posted!

    FutureMrsT, I couldn't agree more. I was 15 minutes late this morning because I physically could not get out of bed. They haven't turned the heat on yet in my apartment and it was freezing outside of the bed!

    I just turned the heat on in this house because it was 65 in here. I was freezing so this kid must be freezing too. I am shocked she hasn't told me 'I cold' yet. She was saying that in my car yesterday haha.   So now the heat is on and the fire place is on.

    My lower eyelid has been twichting for seriously  4 days now and I really cant stand it. I would pay large amounts of money for it to stop....

    Same here! I was freezing this morning and last night!  And it was so sad to have to use the heat in my car yesterday and this morning :-P  And also made me say to my FI  "okay we are having the ceremony inside!' haha

    Good Luck ooods! Everything happens for a reason so hopefully it all works out for the best.

    LadyJ - My right hand is completely numb - they can't turn on the heat until Oct. 15. And the window has a crack between it and the AC, which I've used packing tape, masking tape and still have a draft coming through....bleck.

    I turned on the space heater under my desk yesterday morning.  They shut the AC/Heat off in our building on the weekend so Mondays are brutal.

    My office is always freezing and now we aren't allowed to have space heaters under our desk :-( I'm wearing 2 sweaters haha.

    UGH - feel AGAIN like I'm getting sick.  I took an Airborne, vitamins and 2 extra strength Tylenol.  I can't leave work because I'm leaving Friday for over two weeks... so I'm here until 4 then going home to SLEEP.  I must sleep this off before Friday... I have no choice!
