I sadly don't remember which knottie recommended I join this board, but whoever did, here I am! Lol.

I got engaged in June, and we're getting married on 9.10.11! We booked our reception venue recently, so I can say we have it officially set in stone, lol. I'm looking forward to hanging out on this board!

I just typed it all out, and then it didn't send through

Now I have to remember what I said, lol. Oh well...

1. My fiance proposed in bed, haha. He knew I didn't want a public scene, because I'm easily embarrassed and HATE being the center of attention... so we had gotten ready to go out, for my birthday actually, and I was relaxing on the bed while he finished getting ready. He came into the bedroom, kneeled down and kissed me, and was shaking... and he quietly asked me if I would marry him. So cute. He was so nervous.

2. I actually feel sad telling people about our reception... But I am really pumped at the same time. We fell in love with this little jazz club in Detroit, it used to be a speakeasy during Prohibition, it was restored recently, it's just amazing. But we had to have our wedding on either 9.10.11 or 9.17.11, and both were booked

So we tried to move on and find something else, but nothing was comparing, and I was getting pretty bummed out. Then the guy called me last week, and said the 9.10.11 couple had cancelled their wedding. He was holding it for us, and we jumped on it the same day, lol. So... I feel bad for those two, I honestly do, but I'm going to focus on my joy of getting it instead. How selfish, lol. It's called Cliff Bell's, if you want to look it up! It's amazing.

We met at a restaurant, both worked together. It's a boring story, lol, but oh well-- I guess I don't need a cute story like my parents.

I went to high school at Carlson in Gibraltar. I went to college at UM in Ann Arbor.

I think I'm doing black and ivory. Red flowers. Very simple.

I don't usually watch The Bachelor/ette, but I watched a bit of it this last season, and I always see clips on The Soup, lol.

Favorite movie... that's tough. I have a hard time with favorites. I love The Big Lebowski, and Scent of a Woman, and Love Actually... and more.

Welcome Molly!

I'm not getting married until August 2011, so we'll be together for a while! I've met many of the brides through get togethers (GTG), so watch for GTG posts in the future.
