I need a cake!! Advice please!!

Hey ladies-

I'm getting married in Marina del Rey in like, 6 weeks ( I can't believe it! ) and we don't have a cake yet!! We only need a small one, like 2 tiers, and are working with a limited budget. Anyone know of any good places in the LA/Venice Beach/Marina del Rey area?!?!

Thank you!

I am using Rossmor Bakery (spelling?) info on my bio and they are in the South Bay--however, I just learned about another cake person that I kinda like better.  Her name is Erica O'Brien the site is www.ericaobrien.com.  I have not picked a make up/hair person yet but I got a rec. from a friend her name is Yve Hart the link is http://yvehart.com/ GOOD LUCK!  I hope you can find someone on short notice :)

I don't know of any bakers i could recommend, but I always buy birthday cakes from albertsons because I think they are the best and reasonable. They sell wedding cakes maybe that'll work for you.

Torrance Bakery did a wonderful job for us!

I will second porto's.   If you don't want fondant- they are pretty affordable (and delicious of course)

I think they gave us a quote for 500 for 4 tiered if we didn't do fondant.  My husband was pretty set on fondant, so we didn't go with them.  But we went to about 8 places, and I am pretty sure they were the most affordable.

I also loved my hair and makeup for the wedding- so let me know if you want my MUA contact info.

Thank you all so much! Very helpful... I'm thinking about Torrance Bakery... but what do you all think about just going through Costco or something? I heard they can do a really good job... aghh the stress is getting to me!
