Jillian Michaels diet plan?

I've done 30DS (twice) and am now doing Ripped in 30 for the second time, but I haven't lost any weight/inches for at least two months. This is, in fact, partly my fault since I got pretty derailed over the holidays.

I've been doing WW, but does anyone know anything about Jillian's diet plan? Is it worth doing? I feel like I need something to kick my butt into gear.

Re: Jillian Michaels diet plan?

  • Her diet plan is shiit.  Far too restrictive.

Honestly, I've never tried it, but I have heard this from everyone who has. People I know who have tried it end up giving up because they are miserable on it. The 30 day shred is only 25-30 minutes right? How many calories can you possible burn in that time? Probably not enough to make a huge difference. Anyways, I would check out something like my fitness pal or spark people. You can track your diet and put in your measurements and goal and it will give you daily calorie targets to meet.

  • My suggestion is the same as PP, I use My Fitness Pal to track my net calorie intake. That is how many calories I eat in a day minus how many I burn through my workouts and such in a day. This also allows me to watch and visually see what I am eating in a day and really helps me to follow a healthy eating lifestyle as opposed to any specific diet.

Also: try a new workout plan. If you've done both of those DVD's more than once already your body could be getting use to them and it might be time to mix it up some. I love Jillian Michael's workout DVD's but you can only do them for so long until you've maxed out their benefit, especially if you do them everyday. Try her new; Extreme Shed & Shred. If you do level 1 & 2 together, it is just over an hour of working out and it is great cardio and amazing strength training.

Completely different moves to mix it up alot. It might give you the change you need to start back loosing weight again.
