Have you been to Xona Resort?

I booked a room there for myself and my bridesmaids the night before the wedding, and my FI and I the night of the wedding.  However, I have never been there, so I wanted to get opinions if you have been there.  Is it nice, like other Scottsdale resorts?   Do they have good customer service?  Any input or experiences would be great!

I haven't stayed there, but I did look into Xona as a possible wedding venue.  The reviews weren't fantastic.  I don't think it's in the same class as some of the more popular Scottsdale resorts -- but that's based on reading reviews online and a quick drive-by.  I didn't actually tour the property or set up a meeting, so take my perspective with the proverbial grain of salt.

I looked at it for a wedding venue, and while I did not like the wedding area (mainly the ceremony site) the hotel itself seemed fine.  It had a nice lobby and a really cute restaurant with a nice little bar area, and all the people that worked there were really nice.  I would say it is probably a fine/good place for the night before the wedding with your bridesmaids.  But if you are looking for a super nice, romantic place for the night of your wedding, I would guess (without having seen the rooms) that you will be dissapointed, especially if you are looking for a resort that is as nice as a lot of the other places in Scottsdale.  The Princess (which is right next door) is AMAZING if that is the area you want to be in.  The Four Seasons, Royal Palms, Sanctuary and Montelucia are also other top notch properties if you are looking for that something extra special for your wedding night.

I just got married and we booked a suite at the Westin Kierland Commons to get ready in since the makeup girl came to us.  Our suit was big and it was a great place to spend our wedding night.  The next day we ate breakfast and hung by the pool.  My only complaint is that the front desk staff is always rude.  But the other staff is super helpful and accommodating!

I have been to Xona.  We actually looked into it for our wedding.  My issue is that it is kinda off the beaten path.  Even though it is just east of Scottsdale RD, it is still a little difficult to get in and out of.  If you are in town, you can go up there and they will show you a room.
