Wedding Woes

I recently found out

well, backstory: my grandfather ran a radio station during World War II. He played the piano, did all the talking, ran the boards, everything.

I recently found out his signature song was Stardust by Nat Cole. He played it at the beginning and end of his show every day.

Any neat stories to add? Granted, this doesn't compare to German Santa, but still, it's pretty cool.

That's neat!  I don't think I have any cool people in my family.

When my grandmother had her last child she also had her tubes tied.  Grandpa refused to pick her up with the new baby.   Neat?  I guess it was all I had.

my gramps was in Japan during the occupation post-WWII. He was a doctor in the military. One night he and a friend were "given" a jeep. They went driving but at some point needed to get rid of the jeep. They pushed it over a ledge in a mountain-y/hill-y area.

Apparently my straight-laced gramps was a bit of a hoodlum when he was younger.

My abuelo lost most of his left ring finger after getting it pinched by the lid of a tank in WWII.

On the hoodlum front, while FIL was in the service as a plane mechanic, he got kicked out of a Sardinian whorehouse for being too drunk.
