Hi girls .. sorry I did a post-and-run on my last post, but I wanted to let you know how figuring out pre-Cana went.
After a minor panic attack after calling the church (the priest we'd originally met with is no longer with the parish and had never moved our wedding from his personal calendar to the mass book, so we weren't actually scheduled to be married ... !), we met with the priest for our first meeting and started the process. The priest is wonderful - very kind, and very excited that our priest from college will be celebrating the mass with us (he was surprised to find two 23 year olds with a close relationship with a priest, I guess).
We're waiting for our FOCCUS test to come back, probably some time in January, and I'm excited to get it back and talk about it - I was surprised by how long it was but I really enjoyed how much it made me think about FI and I, and the conversation we had in the car about it afterwards.
We can do the pre-cana class/joy-filled marriage class any time we want; they gave us a brochure our archdioscese publishes yearly with different dates/locations to choose from. We'll probably do those in March/April.
Thank you for all of your advice, ladies! I really appreciate it and I'm looking forward to getting started.
