HELP, is this a scam?

So I went to the bridal show  @ the Wyndam a few weeks ago and since it was my first I pretty much stopped at every booth and put my name down (dumb I know).  I recently received a call from culinary brides saying I won this drawing.
Has anyone heard of them ( I did look them up online).  Is this a scam they run b/c it just seems like one of those too good to be true kind of things.

  • Same here.. I have no clue, so I turned it down. My fiance and I don't reall have time t go and do what they wanted. It sounds great, but it seemed shady when I talked to the girl who called me. When a company has a restirced number that is weird to me. I would like to hear from others if they did get a call and got the stuff. I don't remeber signing up, but I don't remember much from that day just being overwhelmed by everything. I did hear that Davids Bridal if you have gone there sells your number and information. I went there to take a look and wish I didn't give my information, but they wanted it in order to look even though I won't be getting my dress from there.

  • This exact company didn't contact me, but a different one did.  My fiance and I went to this meeting where they tried to sell us pots and pans.  They were offerring us free wedding bands or a free 3-day vacation if we came.  After we sat through the presentation we had to turn them down for the pots and pans, but we got free wedding bands (actually not using mine, but we are using it for him)!!  So I mean it was kind of worth it, but since then I have gotten contacted by some other people and ignored it because I don't have time!!!

  • It's a scam don't do it...I google searched it and it's ridiculously shady.  Even their website is shady!  There were other message boards that said it was a scam also.
  • It is not a scam. I just went to the culinary brides presentation. They do actually give you everything they tell you about. We left with the gift card for the rings and the paper for the trip. All you have to do for the trip is pay the taxes and travel expenses. It is through a reputable travel company.
  • I got the same call....ugh and to think how excited I was when I thought I actually won something from the show! I googled and never called them back. I have a feeling that it is due to giving my info to Davids Bridal... Is anyone getting random wedding things in mail... venue, wedding planner, etc?
